luckiest men alive 2013

David Gonzalez being the luckiest men ever when he discovered a copy of "Action Comics" #1 in the wall of his house in Elbow Lake, Minnesota.

David Gonzalez said he purchased the Elbow Lake house for $10,100 and discovered a copy of Action Comics No. 1, a June 1938 comic book featuring the first appearance of Superman, among the old newspapers used to insulate a wall, the Minneapolis Star Tribune reported Wednesday UPI.com.

Gonzalez said he wasn't quite as careful with the find as he should have been, accidentally tearing the cover and downgrading its condition from a three out of 10 to a 1.5 out of 10.

A copy of Action Comics No. 1 graded nine out of 10 recently sold for more than $2 million.
Gonzalez said he put the comic book up for auction at comicconnect.com, earning a high bid of $107,333 as of Wednesday. The auction ends June 11 ComicConnect.com

info:-

"Action Comics" #1 was published 75 years ago last month and featured the first appearance of several superhero characters, most notably Superman, created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster. "Action Comics" is today dedicated almost exclusively to Superman stories, but in its early days as a predecessor of DC Comics it was an anthology book -- and is considered the publication that gave birth to the "superhero" genre in general.

The first "Superman" comic book adventure was 13 pages long, detailing the story of baby Superman being sent to Earth by his scientist father from a distant planet that was "destroyed by old age" through the discovery of his super-powers while at an orphanage and finally coming to maturity as a man named "Clark" who uses his abilities to fight criminals.
Siegel & Shuster were paid $10 per page for this story, for a total of $130. Today, a copy of "Action Comics" #1 graded 9 out of 10 recently sold for over $2 million.

Dutch TV presenter drinking milk direct from a mother's breasts

A Dutch TV presenter stunned viewers after drinking milk direct from a mother's breasts during his primetime Saturday night show.

Host Paul de Leeuw had invited a group of women from a charity which allows the exchange of breast milk between mothers to his entertainment show, Langs de Leeuw.

During an interview with the women, the host asked whether breast milk was 'nice and sweet' and asked if he could taste some.

One of the women offered him a bottle of the milk but de Leeuw said he would prefer to drink from the source

'Well, if you don't bite you may try it,' - the volunteer, named Wendy

De Leeuw leaned in and drunk from one of her breasts before pulling back and starting on the second breast.

'I find the second one better tasting, but I can taste that you've eaten asparagus yesterday,' - de Leeuw

The segment has generated criticism on social media but volunteer Wendy defended the unusual exchange, saying it was 'for a good cause'.

RCI: 12 Times more than Sarawak???

About 66,000 immigrants in Sabah have received blue ICs since 1963 and its 12 times more than those in Sarawak.

"5,373 immigrants in Sarawak have been issued blue ICs from 1963 to 2012.
“In Sabah, it’s 66,000" -  Sarawak National Registration Department (NRD) director Datuk Abu Bakar Mat

To add that approximately 28%  of  Sabah are foreigners and the % being expected became more and more....

My point of view, this not happen with the geography reason only...there  are lots of unknown reason that lead to this matter....

What the Heck !!!! We have to pay for get better treatment, buying insurances and paying tax and they for free???

“Foreign patients coming to the hospitals, whether they are outpatient or inpatient, are an increasing burden to us,” - Dr Maria Suleiman, the principal assistant director (Epidemiology)

They were totally burden!!

Also being revealed that foreigners comprised 25 per cent of births at government hospitals in 2011, or 14,096 babies. From 2000 to 2011, foreigners gave birth to 122,882 babies at government hospitals, averaging about 22 per cent of total births. About 28 per cent of Sabah’s 3.2 million-strong population are foreigners, totalling a whopping 889,000 people.

Maria also noted that Malaysians, in contrast, owed the government RM7.7 million in unpaid medical bills from 2007 to 2012. A total of 1,009,716 foreigners received outpatient treatment at government hospitals from 2000 to 2011, while 295,053 foreigners were warded in the same period.
The number of foreigners that received outpatient treatment has been increasing steadily from 56,956 patients in 2008, or 2.6 per cent, to 81,651 patients in 2011, or 3.3 per cent.

What a number!! what a waste....

7,550 cases of communicable diseases among foreigners from 2010 to 2012, including measles, cholera, leprosy and hepatitis.

Now they also bring several diseases???

Yes!!! we cant deny regarding humanitarian, that we must at the first place treat the sick people but do when the number were this huge..do government  need to skip some of us??

Utusan Vs Air Asia

AirAsia X chief executive Azran Osman Rani had come thunder-cloud with Utusan after criticising Utusan on his Twitter account for what he reportedly saw as a racial instigation in the aftermath of the May 5 polls by the Utusan Paper Title "  'Apa lagi Cina mahu?'

And after that  Utusan claiming AirAsia advertisements to be cheaper than hair and herbal products, Utusan Malaysia’s Awang Selamat has told the Umno-owned paper to stop taking the airline’s ads until its sister company’s chief executive apologises for criticising the broadsheets racist piece.

Awang Selamat arrogance claimed that:-

Without AirAsia, Awang Selamat will not have any problem. Furthermore, the value of the advertisment given is very small, lower than advertisements for herbal and hair treatments,”

I must say Azran Osman only  speak out his point of view and based on the reality. Utusan or any Paper should not starting fire regard Racial instigation.

To light up the worse, our Prime minster without any 'wise man say' feedback:-

"Awak salahkan Utusan, bagaimana pula akhbar berbahasa Cina? Adakah anda kata sesetengah orang memperkatakan benda yang betul setiap masa?."

I highly thought that PM should be the centre-man  who have the turn-off power to ensure this issue  fade-up.. and warn any misuse... or are he holding the barrier for Utusan?? The Umno-own Paper.....
